Sums insured for Zurich Business Packages will be automatically increased on renewal from April 2023

From April, Zurich will be automatically indexing property sums insured at 8% for building values and 5% for contents/stock for all business package (ZBI) renewals.

This is in response to the rising costs of repair and building materials, which risks leaving many SME customers underinsured.

The auto increase presents an opportunity to reinforce the value of your service by having a conversation with your customer about the adequacy of their insured values to ensure they are not risking partial coverage in the event of a loss.

The insured values may be adjusted as needed as part of the renewal review process and we encourage you to discuss this with your customer as in some cases the automatic increase will not be sufficient. If you wish to discuss your renewals, please call the Zurich SME team on 1800 426 021.
