Workers Compensation WA Resource Hub
Helping you and your clients transition to the new Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 in WA
From 1 July 2024 the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 will transition to the new Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 (the Act). The Act modernises Western Australia’s Workers Compensation laws.
The Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 requires all employers in Western Australia to have workers compensation insurance for their workers. This insurance provides protection for workers who suffer work-related injuries or illnesses and helps cover medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and lost wages.
Over the next 12 months, all policies will transition to the new policy wording from 1 July 2024. This means all documents and claims will be administered under the provisions of the Act and new policy wording.
This Workers Compensation Resource Hub provides information, documents, and forms, that will reflect the new policy wording and the Act.
